Very beautiful rooms, showers are nice, hot water at all times. 1 hour by car to the closest gate ( orpen gate ) from Kruger park. Food is very nice, you can also give special orders to chef Sibu, he will work out something :) Caroline is very helpful and was available at all times via WhatsApp. Definitely should try out the backyard bike ride, we could literally feed the giraffes and warthogs there, way closer than in Kruger park.

We chose The Outpost Lodge for an impromptu 30th anniversary getaway. We have always wanted to visit the northernmost part of the Kruger to see how it compares to the rest of the park. The Outpost is situated on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River and the view from our room was breath-taking. The contemporary open plan rooms have retractable remote-controlled blinds, that offer uninterrupted views of the river when open. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience to sleep with no walls between you and the wilderness. On the second night, we were treated to elephants trumpeting just outside our room! The lodge is situated in a private concession. The staff mainly consists of members of the Makuleke tribe. We were treated like royalty and no effort was spared to make our stay a memorable one. It is evident that the staff are extremely well trained, but also that they love what they do. Our room was immaculately clean, the food was 5-star and wherever we went, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The fauna, flora and vistas in this part of the Kruger is by far the most impressive of the whole park. We were fortunate enough to visit both the Lanner Gorge and the Fever Forest on game drives. This is not the area of the Kruger you should go to if you want to see the big five, as you probably won’t, but that said, there is still a decent amount of wildlife to see. We saw elephant, zebra, nyala, impala, baboons, kudu and hippo.

Instalaciones espectaculares. A tan solo 1 minuto en coche de la entrada al Parque Nacional Kruger, este hotel no deja indiferente a nadie. Decoración preciosa, ambiente idílico, personal muy amable…todo genial! Remarcar el buffete libre de la cena y el entorno donde se hace la misma. Sin duda hotel para recomendar!!

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The vistas from the hotel were breathtakingly beautiful. The food was simply delicious and of extraordinary quality. Overall, it was the most amazing stay during our trip in SA.

Everything!!! The place is just amazing with beautiful views and great stuff. it is a bit secluded which can lead to one getting lost but trust me once you get to the destination you forget all about that because of how beautiful the place is. Godfrey is such an amazing hostess, he was calling us all the way trying to ensure that we rich our destination safely. We even made fun about gravel road that we got lost to and I how stubborn I was when He told me to use another route. The receptionist was also phenomenal, he prepared us our take away breakfast as we were needed to be out very early for our adventure. The place is suitable for people who just want to relax and enjoy each others company and that is exactly what we did as there are no TV's in the bed room and also the network is not that strong.

Easily the best hotel stay I've had all my life. All you need to do is to breathe, walk from/to the safari vehicle, from/to your room and from/to the restaurant - everything else is taken care of: They've got it all organized! There's literally nothing I can criticize about Karula. I had high expectations stemming from the reviews I had read prior to my trip and Karula exceeded them. The game drive team John (from River Lodge) and Elvis did an outstandig job catering my photography needs, getting up-close and making sure I got the shot I wanted. On top of that we got to spot The Big 5 in just one day and everything else was just the icing on the cake (we encountered five wild dogs and watched them kill a duiker). The food was incredible, they feed you so well at Karula. From the hot water bottles provided for the morning drives to the sundowners during the evening drive - everything is done perfectly. I was so sad to leave I actually shed some tears. Even the ride back to the airport got me some more sightings of giraffes, hyenas and impalas.

All meals were fantastic. and hospitality was amaizing! We stayed there for our honeymoon, and a wonderful gift was kindly prepared in our room. On the game drive, we were able to go deeper into the area than when we drove on our own, and were able to see valuable scenes of animals, such as lions eating their prey, from a distance of about 3 meters. We recommend staying at least 2 nights if possible. Thank you to Kapama for providing such a wonderful time.
